General sustainability statement
Sustainability is important to tsgabrielle®. We’re getting greener every step of the way, while still providing you with the quality products you deserve.
Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. What’s more, one in every five items produced by the fashion industry reaches landfills without being worn even once.
As tsgabrielle® works with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner’s high-quality printing technology creates almost no wastewater and uses less energy than standard industry printers.
Information about production
Each product you see in our catalog is made on-demand—once you place an order, we produce it specifically for you. This allows us to avoid overproduction and textile waste, and we’re continuously working toward greener production.
Printing technology & materials (direct-to-garment)
This method is typically used for products with high cotton fabric content, like t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, and similar items.
Many of our products are printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique: ink is sprayed onto the garment and soaks into the fabric—like printing on paper, but on clothing. We use Kornit printers that generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, which lowers our carbon footprint.
The inks we use for printing are OEKO-TEX® certified (safe for skin; tested for harmful substances per the certification), vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. tsgabrielle® disposes of any leftover ink according to the ink supplier guidelines. Printful explains how product-level OEKO-TEX® claims appear in their catalog in their Help Center article on OEKO-TEX® certification.
Embroidery
At tsgabrielle®, we embroider products with OEKO-TEX® certified threads suitable for adult and children’s clothing. Compared to printing, embroidery is generally more durable and produces less environmental waste.
OEKO-TEX® & product-level certification
OEKO-TEX® is a family of standards for textiles tested for harmful substances. When a specific blank or product in Printful’s catalog carries an OEKO-TEX® product certification, that is reflected in the product information they publish. Process materials (such as DTG inks and embroidery threads) are described in their sustainability materials and in Printful’s OEKO-TEX® Help Center article.
Organic, recycled & eco-friendly material content
There are many reasons a product or material can be considered sustainable. In our eco-friendly assortment, many items meet or exceed a high share of organic and/or recycled content (often at least 70% organic or recycled fibers, or a documented mix), as described on each product.
Printful works with suppliers who provide certifications and documentation for organic and recycled claims where applicable (for example GOTS, GRS, OCS-style chain-of-custody, depending on the item). Always read the product page for fiber composition and badges. For how Printful explains verification, see How do you ensure organic or recycled material content in your eco-friendly products?
Vegan products
Not every garment or accessory is vegan: some catalog items can include wool, leather details, silk, or other animal-derived components unless the product is explicitly marketed as vegan. If a product is part of a vegan certification program Printful highlights (for example PETA-Approved Vegan where applicable), that will be shown in the product information.
When in doubt, check the product description and composition for the specific item you’re ordering. Printful’s overview is here: Are your products vegan?
Production times
Each product is made on-demand: once you place your order, we start production. It takes time to create and ship your order, but making each item on-demand helps us avoid overproduction—so we can take care of you and the planet we share.
For delivery timing, see our FAQ and product pages for estimates.
Product packaging
Note: packaging details can vary by fulfillment location. Apparel fulfilled in partner facilities may be packaged differently than in-house.
Where Printful’s in-house facilities apply: apparel is packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. PCR levels differ by facility; outside (white or grey) poly mailers use at least 50% PCR, and inside (clear) bags for multi-item shipments use at least 30% PCR. PCR packaging reuses materials like plastic bags and bottles, protecting your order while reducing first-use plastic impact.
